Kenneth E. Pontious Exemplary Achievement Award

This award represents the Unicity Associate who has inspired others by overcoming significant obstacles in their life to become a successful Associate. This award is named after the late Ken E. Pontious, a former key Associate leader in the company who fought a valiant and noble struggle against brain cancer in 1999. Many times we are faced with challenges from sources outside of our control. These may include personal or business hardships that make it more challenging to do business. Whatever the obstacle, the key element is that this person has not let that stand in their way. They have shown a positive and courageous spirit that motivates others to reach new heights.

This year's Kenneth E. Pontious Exemplary Achievement Award was given to Mary Lou Wilson.

Texas-based Mary Lou and Bob Wilson are known throughout Unicity as key players in the successful launch of the business in Japan. Even before their success in Japan, the couple had built a strong organization based on hard work, dedication, and commitment. They travel extensively to support members of their organization. "It's wonderful when you can change the quality of people's lives all over the world," says Mary Lou. "When health tragedies strike, it's essential to have that foundation of good health and fitness so you can utilize all your resources to recover," says Mary Lou.

In the beginning of 2004, Bob Wilson has become very ill, Mary Lou has never stopped building their Unicity business despite Bob's illness. Mary Lou's dedication to the business and to her downline was demonstrated by her attentiveness to all phone calls while Bob is lying in bed. She is committed to making life better for others and feels that doing so makes life better for her, even in a time of difficulties. Unicity is honored to have awarded this special Kenneth Pontious Exemplary Achievement Award to Mary Lou Wilson in the New York Convention of the Americas on August 11, 2006.
